"For the future, I want to see gray water storage tanks on all new apartment and commercial buildings, encourage dedicated bike paths on our main roads continue to improve our walking trails and playing fields, support the preservation of open space, and convert the old Cochituate railroad line into a rail-trail."

An avid environmentalist, John discovered and then orchestrated the cleanup of a hazardous waste site in East Natick and worked with civic leaders and residents to have 500 leaking home heating oil tanks removed in the town's Wethersfield neighborhood.

He spearheaded a town-wide drive for curbside recycling that has resulted in 54% less waste being sent area landfills. John has further advocated for the creation of bike lanes along all new roads and promoted water conservation and open space preservation. He has also worked to bring a paved bike path to town as a member of the Cochituate Rail Trail Task Force.

For the future, I want to see gray water storage tanks on all new apartment and commercial buildings so we can stop using clean drinking water to flush toilets, encourage dedicated bike paths on our main roads, end Styrofoam coffee cups and using plastic bags at grocery stores.
